Mobile Field Service Engineer (Cranes / Hydraulics / Plant) Location: Dartford & Surrounding Area Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Basic + Overtime (OTE £50K+) Company Van + Fuel The Job (No fluff): We’re hiring a Mobile Field Service Engineer to cover the Dartford area, working on lorry loader cranes and hydraulic equipment. This is a field-based role — you’ll be out on-site diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and keeping equipment operational. If you’re from a crane, plant, FLT, or hydraulics background, this is a solid opportunity with proper training and long-term progression. What You’ll Be Doing: Carrying out LOLER inspections on lorry loader cranes and lifting equipment Diagnosing faults (mechanical and electrical) Attending breakdowns and completing on-site repairs Completing job reports and documentation accurately Representing the company professionally on customer sites What We’re Looking For: Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, Crane Engineer, or FLT Engineer Strong mechanical and/or hydraulic knowledge Basic electrical fault-finding ability Full UK driving licence (essential) Able to work independently and manage your own workload Good communication and customer-facing skills Open to Backgrounds Including: Lorry loader cranes Plant machinery Forklifts (FLT) Hydraulics / heavy equipment Full manufacturer training provided — crane experience is a bonus, not essential Salary & Benefits: £40,000 – £45,000 basic (DOE) Overtime paid at 1.5x Realistic OTE £50K+ Company van + fuel card Company pension Private healthcare Full sick pay after 2 years Ongoing manufacturer training and development Also Hiring: We are also open to semi-skilled engineers / improvers looking to step up into a fully qualified role with full training provided.
