Job Description: Overview We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing stock, and ensuring the smooth operation of shipping and receiving processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting the overall supply chain operations. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position is paid and suitable for individuals seeking a hands-on role in logistics and warehousing. Responsibilities Handling materials with care, including loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently (training will be provided if necessary) Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and movements Preparing orders through picking and packing items accurately for dispatch Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation Assisting with shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and labelling Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards Performing heavy lifting when required, adhering to health and safety guidelines Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times Experience Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous Experience with forklift operation or mechanical knowledge is a plus Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, stock control, and picking & packing processes is desirable Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and load/unload operations Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting This role offers an engaging work environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are valued.
