Job Description: Hygiene Operative (Permanent Position) Location: DL8 Salary: £15.00 per hour Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Shift Pattern: 4 on / 2 off rota, 7:00am – 6:00pm An established and growing food manufacturing business is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join its team on a permanent basis. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitising production machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitise production machinery, equipment, and work areas. Dismantle and reassemble machinery for thorough cleaning where required. Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with company procedures and food safety regulations. Carry out hygiene checks and report any maintenance or cleanliness concerns. Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment following training and procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Requirements Previous hygiene, industrial cleaning, food production, or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices would be advantageous. Benefits £15.00 per hour. Permanent, full-time employment. Free meal provided on every shift.
