**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Location: Bradford, BD1** **Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent** **Pay: £13.21 per hour, rising with training** **Hours: 36 hours per week** **Job Description** Lime Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing business based in Bradford, BD1. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent opportunity working on a rotating double day shift pattern. The role would suit someone reliable, motivated and looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing. Full training will be provided, with clear pay progression as you become trained and signed off on additional slitting machines. The starting rate is **£13.21 per hour**. Your hourly rate will increase by **50p per hour** each time you successfully complete training and are signed off on an additional slitting machine. Fully trained operators can earn up to **£16.71 per hour**. **Shift Pattern** This role works on a rotating double day shift pattern. **Early Shift** Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 2:00pm Friday: 6:30am – 12:30pm **Late Shift** Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 9:45pm Friday: 12:30pm – 5:30pm **Duties will include:** Operating specialist machinery in a manufacturing environment Converting large widths of film into bespoke sizes to meet customer requirements Setting up and operating machines Adjusting knives, tensions and machine speeds Loading raw materials onto machinery Unloading finished products Monitoring machine performance to maintain productivity and efficiency Carrying out quality checks on raw materials and finished products Reporting any defects or quality issues Maintaining machinery and keeping equipment in good working order Following Quality Control, ISO and BRC standards Minimising waste by working efficiently and following production procedures Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards in the production area Working safely and following all site health and safety procedures **The ideal candidate will:** Have previous machine operating, production or manufacturing experience Be willing to learn and complete training on specialist machinery Be able to work efficiently to meet production targets and customer deadlines Have good attention to detail Be flexible and willing to work across production departments Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Be reliable, punctual and hardworking Have a positive attitude and be able to work well as part of a team Be comfortable working rotating shifts **Benefits** Temporary to permanent opportunity 36-hour working week Bank holidays off with pay Starting pay of £13.21 per hour Structured training and pay increases Additional 50p per hour for each slitting machine you are trained and signed off on Opportunity to earn up to £16.71 per hour when fully trained Full training and ongoing development Long-term career opportunity within a supportive manufacturing team **How to Apply** Apply today with your CV and a member of the Lime Recruitment team will be in touch.
